The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the Malhotra home, where laughter and chatter filled the air, blending harmoniously with the aroma of spices wafting from the kitchen. Priya stood by the window, her gaze lost in the vibrant hues of the evening sky. She took a moment to appreciate the tranquility that enveloped her family, a stark contrast to the tumult brewing within her heart.
In the living room, Ruhi was sprawled on the floor, surrounded by a chaotic mess of colorful papers and craft supplies. She was in the middle of an ambitious project: creating a scrapbook to document every family gathering, every birthday celebration, and every little moment that made their family special. "Priya! Come help me with this!" she called out, her voice a mix of excitement and impatience. Ruhi is worried about priya . She thinks her love for Aarav is hopeless feeling that can't be erased.
"Just a moment, Ruhi," Priya replied, her mind still occupied with thoughts of Aarav Kapoor. Their last encounter had left her both exhilarated and confused. Aarav's reluctance to embrace love due to his past weighed heavily on her heart. She had sensed a flicker of something deeper between them, but how could she bridge the gap his fears had created? She thinks love is not for her because she loved him past 5 years with out expecting anything in return and that hurts her.
Meanwhile, in the Kapoor household, Aarav was pacing back and forth in his room, his mind racing. He had replayed the moment he and Priya shared countless times, the way her laughter had danced through the air, lighting up his otherwise guarded soul. But the shadows of his past loomed large, whispering doubts and fears. "What if I hurt her? What if I can't be what she needs?" he muttered to himself. I cannot love anyone in my life it is poison that hurt me .
Arpita, his younger sister, entered the room with a knowing look. "You’re thinking about Priya again, aren’t you?" she teased, though her tone was laced with concern. "You need to talk to her. Stop letting your past dictate your future. She is not like her don't think about it again and spoil your future .
Aarav sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It’s not that simple, Arpita. I don’t want to drag her into my mess. For me she is just a good friend nothing more or less".
Back at the Malhotra house, Rajiv was in the study, reviewing business reports with his father, Karthik The discussion had shifted from numbers to family matters. "Have you spoken to Priya about her feelings for Aarav?" Karthik asked, raising an eyebrow.
Rajiv leaned back in his chair, contemplating. "Not yet. But I think she cares for him. Maybe it’s time we all have a conversation about what’s really going on between them."
Just then, Rupa entered with a tray of tea, sensing the weight of the discussion. "Why don’t we invite the Kapoors over for dinner this weekend? A little family gathering might help ease the tension. We can all talk."
"That’s a great idea, Mom," Rajiv replied, a spark of hope igniting in his chest. "It could be the perfect opportunity for them to figure things out. Hope she gets the answer and accept it . I m worried about di." Said Rajiv with concerned expression.
As plans were set in motion for the weekend gathering, the anticipation hung thick in the air. Each member of the Malhotra family felt the pull of unspoken words, emotions that had been simmering just beneath the surface.
The evening of the dinner arrived, and the houses were abuzz with preparations. Ruhi was in charge of setting the table, arranging the flowers with a flair that belied her age. "This is going to be epic!" she declared, her excitement infectious.but also worried about after shocks.
When the Kapoors arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant, filled with the cheerful banter that only family could conjure. Priya caught Aarav’s eye across the room, her heart racing. He offered a small smile, but it was shadowed by uncertainty. The evening unfolded with laughter, delicious food, and heartfelt stories, but the underlying tension between Priya and Aarav remained unaddressed.
As the night wore on, the families gathered in the living room, where Rajiv proposed a game that would reveal secrets and strengthen bonds. "Let’s play a round of 'Two Truths and a Lie.' It’ll be fun!" he suggested.
As each person took turns, the game drew out laughter and surprises, but when it was Priya's turn, she hesitated. Her mind raced with thoughts of Aarav, and she decided it was time to confront the truth. "Okay, here goes. One: I’ve never been in love. Two: I have a secret talent for singing. Three: I’m afraid of losing someone I care about."
The room fell silent, all eyes on her. Aarav’s heart sank. He could feel the weight of her words hanging in the air, a challenge for him to respond.
Finally, he spoke, his voice steady yet vulnerable. "I think number one is the lie. You’ve been in love with someone, haven’t you?" . I hope it's not me he thought with bitter smile on his face.
The room buzzed with tension as Priya's cheeks flushed. "Maybe," she admitted, her gaze locked onto Aarav's.
Before the moment could stretch into discomfort, Ruhi interrupted, "Alright! Who’s next?" But the spark had ignited a fire. The unspoken truths lingered, ready to unravel at any moment.
As the evening drew to a close, Aarav and Priya found themselves standing on the porch, the cool night air wrapping around them. "We need to talk," Aarav said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Priya nodded, her heart racing. "I agree. But we need to do it before our fears take over."
The future was uncertain, but in that moment, standing between the warmth of family and the chill of vulnerability, they both felt the first stirrings of hope.
In the distance, the stars twinkled above, but the real light was within them, flickering just waiting to ignite. As they took a step closer, the promise of a new beginning loomed on the horizon, leaving the door wide open for what was yet to come.
Ram & Lalitha Malhotra are sitting together in there room along with Raj & Rupali Kapoor in silence.
Just then ram said " Are you sure this is going to work with between our families . I m afraid that it may cause more misunderstanding between them He sighed. Lalitha said to Rupali " My priya is darling of our family . Hope she believes in love".
Seeing Ram & Lalitha rupali said "whatever happens we need to wait & watch in patience her expression puzzled every one in room along with Raj.
Every one wants a new start but what happens in future no one knows .
